Letting Go of Comparison - Opening to Compassion

In my journal the other day I found myself reflecting on the contrast in my immediate family. I have become profoundly aware of the impact that these relationships have on my experience and my ability to raise my conscious awareness. As my compassion expands for my closest family members, so too does my compassion for myself. This is not a new concept intellectually or emotionally; however, this experience has become deeper and more personal for me recently.

With a background in business I have been programmed to compare and judge. In the past I have been heavily involved in competitive matrices that identify the major competitors for a product or industry and their key benefits and weaknesses. I have judged and scrutinized others only to compare those details with our own products and services to further judge and scrutinize. The experience was always uncomfortable and reinforced "lack" and "inadequacy". Although we would look at what we were doing well, the majority of our collective efforts were placed on what wasn't "good enough".

I did not realize how strongly this message had seeped into my own personal perceptions of myself. As a "separate" person in the world I was comparing and judging myself against everyone I knew and met. Judging and comparing led to an identification with inadequacy and superiority. There were always individuals who knew more and possessed more than I did and there were individuals who I felt superior to. Feeling superior never took away from the fact the I was less than others...I was always feeling like "not enough".

By going within on a regular basis - daily or multiple times a day - I experienced a natural expansion of my conscious awareness. I experienced a deepened sense of who I truly am. Although I had glimpsed my true self on occasions and had a sense of who I was, these feelings were drowned out by the voice of the Ego. The intentional work to deconstruct the Ego coupled with my commitment to meditation shifted the imbalance that was occurring in my mind. I heard the Ego less and less and the still small voice began to dominate. As a result, my interest and habit of comparing and judging slipped away - almost without my knowing.

As I sat with a group of people in my living room on Sunday morning to guide a meditation, I observed a surrender to the experience that was new to me. I had not prepared for the session; I had simply surrendered to the still small voice within and trusted. I did not think about how anyone else might lead the session or what I should or should not include or whether it would be good or bad or enjoyed or rejected. I showed up, created the space, and let go...The outcome was beyond expectation.

As I meditated this morning, I noticed myself begin to reflect on this experience while a deep sense of compassion and gratitude arose - for those who shared the space with me on Sunday and for myself. I surrendered to the feeling as I meditated longer and I felt myself being embraced by my own love (cocooned by it). This was an experience that can not be described fully...we have no language for this, for oneness...our vantage point from a human body seems to inject a subtle feeling of separation that distorts the experience once it is being recalled.

I have reached a turning point in human terms...

Peace,
Joy

Transformation is about MORE than "Bliss"

Transformation brings immense feelings of bliss, joy, and excitement. These feelings nourish you and heal you. As the feelings rise they grab hold of weeds within you. These weeds are the emotional triggers that cause pain and damage to your physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

When the “weeds” arrive at the surface of your conscious awareness you may be in the habit of fearing them, stuffing them, and judging their existence. However, when you chose to embrace the weeds as they arrive you can be free from them forever. When the “negative” emotions arise, reach for forgiveness and compassion. Embrace the negative feelings and engage your curiosity. What is the message for you in this painful memory? Sometimes by just allowing the memory to surface and the emotions to be felt we can release the pain. Sometimes we will need to go deeper and rewire the experience by using your natural Alpha healing state (www.practicethepractice.com).

There is no magic transformation that occurs when you start a transformational journey.  It only appears to be magic to those around you. The changes that occur during transformation require our attention and commitment to heal. Yes, you will feel euphoric and yes you will feel crappy; both emotions have something spectacular to share with you. Go with it...be open, be curious.

Be Well,
Joy

How Diet, Homeopathy, and Brainwave States, Work Together So That You Feel Great!!

I am often asked, "What one thing can I do to feel well fast?"

Whether you desire weight loss, weight gain, relief from a disease, longevity, anti-aging, better sleep, better relationships, or simply more vitality there is not just 1 thing you can do, there are 3 things I would ask you to consider:

  1. Homeopathy (for detox and repair)
  2. Energy/Nutrition (for cellular function and repair)
  3. and...the ability to control your Brainwave States

What? Okay, you may have heard about the importance of Energy/Nutrition, you may be fuzzy about homeopathy, but brainwave states, huh? That's what I said 4 years ago until I learned several valuable truths about how the body makes decisions and operates. If I had to pick just one, I would recommend learning to "control your Brainwave states" every time!

Read on...

Each of the following components is important for optimum wellness:

1. Energy

The is the most obvious component of wellness. Energy is available in many forms and provides the nutrients that allow cells to function and replicate - supporting organ and system function. Nutrition and water are two important energy sources required by all living beings to stay alive.

Energy inputs: breathing (oxygen), eating (food/water), and sensing (heat, light). Learn More.

2. Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a natural pharmaceutical science that provides natural equivalents to energetic and cellular components that may be damaged, missing, or depleted from the body. Homeopathy works to restore cellular function so that organs and body systems run effectively.

Homeopathy may be administered topically, ingested orally, or received energetically through our meridians (think: acupuncture). Homeopathy is our hero in times of dis-ease and acute illness. A homeopathic option that is effective and that I highly recommend is Lifewave. Learn More.

3. Brain Wave States - Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta...

When health providers talk about the importance of our thinking, our emotions, and our feelings toward ourselves, they are pointing to the byproducts of our brainwave states. All of these aspects are impacted by our cognitive response patterns - how we were "wired" to respond to life events. The good news is that we can re-wire our responses for a new, more positive outcome! To re-wire we need only to tap in to our natural Alpha brainwave state.

This is the biggie! Some brainwave states provide a neuro/biological environment that enables us to change our body's behavior by changing neural networks in the brain. Sound sci-fi...it's not! This knowledge is supported by the latest scientific findings (from the last 20+ years of research). Taking the time to reach the brainwave state of Alpha over a period of 8 or more weeks triggers a build process. This process helps the individual to consistently and reliably reach, maintain, and take action from an Alpha optimized brain state.

Reliable and repeatable Alpha is achievable with Practice. You can reach Alpha in many ways; however, learning to maintain Alpha and re-wire your neurological patterns is key to mastering wellness. Learn more about practicing The Practice.

Read more about how our health is impacted by Stress and how Brainwave States can help.

Here is why Alpha is so important to the process:
If you are stressed, feel genetically aligned with disease, or have other health issues, you have 3 choices: 1. do nothing and potentially die; 2. treat the illness with energy (food/water/supplements), homeopathy (natural pharma), or allopathy (mainstream pharma) and get well only to re-create the conditions that made you ill to begin with; or, combine treatment with neurological re-wiring in the Alpha state and change your entire wellness blueprint - re-writing the pattern that caused the original illness.

Be Well...it's your birthright!

Love Letter to My Body

My dearest body,
You have carried me on this journey for the last 37 years – thank you! When I think about all that you have done, how well you have responded, and how little you have asked from me, I am humbled. I am grateful for your patience, your determination, and your unwavering faith in me all of this time.
When I was born into this life you were ready and waiting for me. When I was learning to navigate the world through you and I would fall, you always picked me up. You always healed the bumps and bruises. You were always ready for more.
When I experimented and indulged a little too much, you were gentle with me and recovered quickly. Even when you didn’t recover quickly, you did your best to keep going despite the pain. You have been in service to me from the beginning.
Even when I hated you, thought you were ugly, thought you were fat…you were there for me. You kept up with my obsessions with exercise, my excessive overeating, and my crazy dieting. You held faith that I would come around.
You kept walking when your knees were swollen and in pain. You kept typing when your wrists were sore and stiff. You kept awake so that I could read that last chapter even though you were begging for sleep. You went to work after 3 hours of sleep and a hangover. You trusted me when I told you to jump out of that plane with only a ‘chute and a prayer.
You gave life to my two sons…you brought two people into this world!  Let me say that again, you brought two lives into this world! What an honor to serve in this life with you! You kept me alive when I lost faith in you. You never gave up or gave out.
Words do not even begin to express my love, appreciation, and compassion for you. I vow to be kind and gentle and loving from this day forward. Never will I take you for granted, disregard you, or abuse you again. I will nourish you and give you all that you need to thrive. I will treat you like the gift that you are and will spend every last moment making sure you know happiness.
I love you dearest body!
Yours Truly,
Me

Discover The Practice - Free Conference Call August 4th via @constantcontact

Friends,

I often talk about how weight loss and wellness are journeys that begin on the inside (limiting emotions, thoughts, & beliefs) and work there way to the outside physical body. When we ignore the inside we often find we are limited in our potential for weight loss, weight gain, and optimum wellness. instead we end up with cellular damage, decreased immune function, stress, hormone imbalance, weight gain, too little body weight...and disease.

I have found a powerful way to remove emotional blocks, learn emotional mastery, and let go of stress called, Practice The Practice. The best part about this mind/body technique is that you learn once and can practice as often as you like without investing in expensive products, programs, or food plans. The body already knows how to heal itself, we must simply get out of our own way by creating a new mindset and blueprint for health.

I hope you will check it out for yourself! Please accept this invitation to attend a Free Conference Call about the Practice to learn more:

How to Make a Plan for Permanent Change - Weight Loss and Wellness

Why supplement your life with vitamins, shakes, patches, energy work, doctors, and homeopathy if brain wave states (achieved through The Practice, Meditation, Stillness, Entrainment, Feedback) hold the key to optimum wellness?

This is an important question and one that I am excited to expand upon. Let’s begin by acknowledging that each of us is experiencing a unique state of wellness. At some point in our journey we recognize that we are in control of creating our experience. A natural progression leads us to question how we are caring for our bodies. So, why not jump from our poor habits to the highest possible state of being? Because human beings change in stages and large leaps rarely (if ever) result in permanent change.

The body is always responding to programmed responses based on our thoughts, the evidence in our “reality”, and how we feel and sense the world (physically and emotionally). The goal is to recognize that we are the observer of our life and have the ability to direct the actions of our bodies and our minds…and further, the way we respond to emotions as they arise. Yet, your body will have resistance to this new knowledge, in the beginning, because it feels very foreign and the mind fears the unknown.

So, we begin in stages. We consider the changes we want to make, we educate ourselves about how to make the change, and we step into new patterns – one at time. With each new pattern or behavior we change our response to events in our life. We begin to play with creation.

While we are getting our feet wet with our new way of viewing the world and our role in it, we need support. This can come in the form of a team – friends, family, teachers, coaches, doctors…and products that enhance our nutrition, our wellbeing, and our mental states. However, the ultimate resource available is within us.
I recommend that clients consider a short term plan that includes supplementation of their diets, their brainwave states, and their physical bodies.

For some this may look like:

Letting Go Of:                                      Supplementing With:

Fast Food and Processed Food              High Quality Whey Protein Shake
                                                              like Mercola’s

Channel Surfing on the couch                  A Moderate Exercise Program
                                                              (Walking, Yoga, Bursts)

Unsupportive Friends                             Hiring a coach or joining a
                                                              wellness group

Low quality TV, Movies, And Music      Audio Visual Entrainment and
                                                             Neurofeedback

Prescription Medications*                      Find an Energy Worker (reiki, holographic)
and/or use LifeWave Patches to harmonize
your meridians and improve energy flow

Taking the above actions will greatly increase your capacity to move through the transformation that will occur when you begin a Practice of going within. As you remember who you really are and experience the world from a new awareness, the supplementation will slip away and healing will become spontaneous and natural. Living from higher brain wave states allows abundance, wellness, love, and peace to occur within your experience.

*Always consult your naturopath or physician before altering any medications.
